  • THE SOUNDTRACK was founded by Eddy and Aleks, the duo behind One More Song DJs and the wedding podcast, Project Engaged. After being part of hundreds of weddings and events ourselves, we wanted to build a collective where we could take everything we’ve learned about running a packed dance floor and pass it on. This is our space to curate a roster of incredible DJs and musicians to rock the party with that same high-energy, professional vibe we’re known for.

  • We love a party, no matter the occasion, from weddings and engagement parties to other private celebrations like milestone birthdays and anniversaries. We also have extensive experience with corporate events, including EOFY and EOY parties, conferences, awards nights, product launches, and brand activations.

  • As soon as you have your date and venue locked in, get in touch! The further in advance you book, the higher the likelihood we will have a DJ available for you. Popular dates - especially during the peak Melbourne wedding season from October to April - often fill up 12 to 18 months in advance.

  • Securing your date is simple. We take a 50 percent part payment to lock in your DJ for your specific date, with the remaining balance due a couple of weeks out from your wedding or event. To make things easy, we offer multiple payment options including bank transfer and all major credit cards.

  • Once you are booked in, you’ll get access to our Party Brief questionnaire. Think of this as your "planning HQ" - it is a dynamic document you can jump in and out of along the way to add all the specific details of your wedding or event. We lock the questionnaire down a couple of weeks before the big day to give us enough time to fully brief your DJ, but we will always give you a heads-up before this happens so you have plenty of time to finalise your details.

  • We love seeing your inspiration! Our questionnaire has a dedicated section for your "faves," and our DJs will do their best to get through as many of these as possible. While providing as much inspiration as you can is great, we recommend giving your DJ the freedom to spread their wings. This allows them to use their experience to read the room and ensure the dance floor is an awesome one rather than being locked down to a static list.

  • Absolutely. Your online questionnaire will guide you through all the key moments. For weddings, this covers everything from your processional to the first dance. For corporate events, we can coordinate "stings" for awards or speaker walk-ons, which is a great way to keep the energy high and the vibes celebratory.

  • We book our DJs for the entire event, not just the dance floor. This gives them the unique opportunity to "read the crowd" long before the dancing begins. They can see what tunes are getting people toe-tapping and head-bopping during cocktails and dinner. We keep the energy and vibes up throughout the meal, though we obviously won't be dropping Dom Dolla while people are eating their mains - we’ll wait until they’re ready to bust a move on the d-floor for that!

  • Yes! Once we have briefed your DJ using the specific details from your Party Brief, we’ll arrange a time for your DJ to give you a call during the week of your wedding or event. This ensures everyone is on the same page and ready to rock before the first guest arrives. Before then though (in the lead-up to your event), you’ll have a phone chat or video meeting with Eddy or Aleks, who act as your aptly named "Party Managers." We handle all the heavy lifting and planning with you before our DJ receives the final event details.

  • We love an intimate wedding or event! We believe the vibe is about quality, not quantity. Whether you have 30 guests or 300, our DJs will read the room and tailor the volume and energy to suit the size of your group. A smaller guest list often makes for a more intimate, high-energy dance floor.

  • Yes, we carry our own Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and all of our performers also carry it. We provide this documentation directly to your venue or planner so you don't have to worry about the paperwork.

  • We are experts at making it work! Modern DJ setups are more compact than they’ve ever been, and we will work directly with your venue to figure out the best placement. Whether it’s a sprawling warehouse or a cozy bar, we’ll ensure the setup is sleek and doesn't infringe on your dance floor space.

  • Yes, please! Our DJs are usually on-site for 6-10 hours including travel and setup, so a crew meal is always greatly appreciated. This keeps our team fuelled and ready to keep the energy high.

  • We love a road trip! We charge a small fee for events 40kms and beyond the CBD to cover fuel and expenses to and from the venue. For travel that is over 2 hours from the CBD, on night's accommodation is also required.

  • Our DJs arrive in professional, smart attire that matches the vibe of your event. Whether it is a black-tie wedding or a cocktail party, we aim to complement your aesthetic. Our performers will also do their best to dress within your chosen colour palette where possible to ensure they fit right in with your guests.

  • We get it - sometimes the vibe is just too good to stop! We have a standard additional hourly cost for overtime. The best thing to do is give us as much notice as possible if you think you’ll want to extend, as it often depends on the DJ’s schedule the following day. If we can make it happen, we will!

  • Yes - we love these! We take pride in keeping things fresh. If you never want to hear "The Nutbush" or "YMCA" ever again, we are the DJs for you. We’ll work with you to ensure the music reflects your personality and taste, not a generic playlist.

  • We’re vibe-readers, not jukeboxes. If a guest requests a track that keeps the floor moving and fits your style, we’ll work it in. If a request is on your "do not play" list, the DJ will respectfully decline and may even suggest something similar that they know you will be happy with. If a request is a total vibe-killer, we’ll deal with it politely to keep the party on track and the energy high.

  • We keep it simple and professional. By default, if sound equipment is not provided by the venue, our DJs arrive fully equipped with a PA system (2 professional speakers), a wireless microphone for your speeches, and their own DJ decks. We bring everything needed to ensure the sound is crisp and the party is loud.

  • We care about the look as much as the sound. Many of our DJs have their own sleek DJ booths for a modern finish. In other cases, we’ll use a table or booth provided by the venue to ensure we blend perfectly with your event's aesthetic. No messy cables - just a clean, professional setup.

  • Yes, we can. While our standard focus is on premium sound, we have lighting options available - like dance floor effects and atmosphere lighting - to make sure the room looks as good as it sounds once the party kicks off.

  • Some of our DJs are experienced in more than just the music and can handle the hosting and MC duties for your night. We focus on a professional, relaxed hosting style that keeps the evening flowing smoothly without that "over-the-top" or cringey radio announcer voice.

  • We love an outdoor vibe, but DJ equipment and water definitely don't mix! Because rain can sometimes come in sideways (classic Melbourne), we require full overhead and side coverage for any outdoor setup. As long as the gear is protected from the elements, we are happy to play under the stars with you.

  • Because we are a collective of professionals, we have a "deep bench" of talent. If an emergency happens, we have a network of top-tier pros ready to step in so your event doesn't miss a beat. You’re booking the security of a collective with the soul of an independent DJ.

  • We’re regulars at Melbourne’s best spots - from inner-city warehouses to Yarra Valley wineries. We enjoy great relationships with a lot of Melbourne venues and handle all the communication directly with them so you can focus on getting your request list ready for us. If your venue has an unusual or tricky setup, we make a point to visit the space before the date to get everything we need. This ensures our DJ is equipped with all the knowledge they need in order to arrive, set up, and rock the party.
