Hey! We’re Eddy and Aleks – a couple (and a couple!) of working DJs and party people. We’re responsible for hand-picking the talent that’ll set the tone for your event, and prepping them to curate your epic soundtrack.

With a combined two decades+ behind the decks, we’ve played hundreds of events – from weddings, to corporate functions, and everything in between. Back in 2018, we started our Melbourne DJ business – One More Song – and built a reputation for ditching the cliché ‘function DJ’ approach in favour of music that actually fits the moment (not to mention our “No More Nutbush” policy).

Since we’re just two people and cloning’s not a thing, we started THE SOUNDTRACK to expand our reach and share our expertise beyond the events we’re able to DJ ourselves. While we’re still on the tools, we’re now also able to work with other talented DJs and scatter our skillset across more events, both locally and around Australia.

We *get* events, if we do say so ourselves. And with our comprehensive understanding of sound production and knowledge of music, we’ve got an edge when it comes to both training our DJs and helping you scope out your event’s unique needs. Et voilà – your epic soundtrack is made easy.

Our briefing process sets us apart. We’ve created a comprehensive online questionnaire (the “Party Brief”) that provides helpful info and detailed music resources for both our clients and our DJs.

This includes:

  • Suggestions for key moment songs for your event

  • Playlists showcasing different musical styles for inspiration

  • Blogs and podcast episodes to help you plan your event

Music aside, the brief also includes important logistical details such as floor plan, venue information and timings.

This brief is passed onto your booked DJ along with our additional suggestions (think: past setlists for events with similar briefs) to ensure they’re equipped with absolutely everything they need to curate your perfect soundtrack.
